A conversion is not a new measurement
A 50 cm length is approximately 19.685039 inches. Displaying it as 19.69 inches is useful for reading, but converting that rounded number back gives 50.0126 cm. Repeatedly converting rounded displays can change the working measurement.
The length converter keeps the underlying quantity when you switch units. Each measurement can use mm, cm, m, decimal inches, feet or feet and inches.
Square units need a different factor
One foot equals 0.3048 m, so one square foot equals 0.3048 × 0.3048 = 0.09290304 m². Do not use the length factor to convert an area.
For example, 100 ft² is 9.290304 m². The area converter converts square units directly. Material pack coverage is an area, while room length and width are lengths. Our forms give these separate unit controls.
Check actual dimensions when comparing products
Metric and imperial product labels can describe similar but different sizes. A 50 × 70 cm print is not exactly 20 × 28 inches. Read the 50 × 70 cm frame comparison or use the frame checker for your own dimensions.
For fractional input, enter 3 1/2 inches or select feet and inches and enter 5 ft 6 1/2 in. Check your measurement method before relying on a close fit.
