How to use the frame size checker
- Measure the entire paper, then the image printed on it. These can be different sizes.
- Enter the internal fitting size of the frame. Outside frame dimensions do not tell you what fits inside.
- Add a mat opening if needed and check paper overlap and image cropping. Confirm manufacturer tolerances before buying.
A worked example
Example: 20 × 28 inches converts to 50.8 × 71.12 cm. A 50 × 70 cm print is smaller in both dimensions, but the difference is not an assurance of a secure fit.
