Combine rooms using the same flooring
A 4 × 3 m room and a 3 × 2 m room have areas of 12 m² and 6 m². Add them to get 18 m². Enter the rooms separately in the flooring pack calculator so you can check or edit each measurement later.
Keep rooms that use different products in separate projects. Combining areas only makes sense when they share the same pack coverage and selected material.
Compare the quantity you will actually buy
After adding the chosen 10% allowance, 18 × 1.10 = 19.8 m². At 2.2 m² per pack, 9 packs cover exactly 19.8 m². At 2 m² per pack, you must round 9.9 up to 10 packs, covering 20 m².
A lower price per square metre does not always produce the lower total purchase cost. Compare whole-pack quantities at the prices you enter, and include the same extras in each comparison.
Calculate underlay separately
Underlay can come in a different pack or roll size. If your selected product needs it, enter its coverage separately. In the calculator, underlay uses the same net floor area and selected waste allowance but rounds to its own whole packs.
